4. Concept Description

The staircase representing the noun, ‘entanglement’, reflects the chosen piece of work by client, Mountain and Moon. The staircase mimics the complexity in form through various lengths of layered stair ‘strands’, reflecting the slender body of a snake. As a result, an intricate spiral pattern is formed below the glass treads. Curves were used to greater emphasise the organic nature of ‘entanglement’.
